Rachel Kaplan - Executive Director, The Village Academy
Rachel Kaplan is an experienced educator and administrator. She grew up in the Midwest, received her B.A. in Education and M.S. in Leadership and Curriculum, both from Oakland University in Rochester Michigan. Rachel has worked at several different public and charter schools, grades K-12, in multiple states. She has held several teaching, administrative and supervisory roles and has taught mostly marginalized student populations, throughout her 12-year career.

Tim is an experienced international educator. He grew up in the Midwest but received his college education in the Pacific Northwest with a B. A. degree in Education from Central Washington University in Washington State and later his M. S. degree in Computer Science from the University of Oregon. Tim has worked at several different public and private schools K-12 throughout his career. He has developed and taught college classes in education and Computer Science as an associate professor for both small and large institutions.
Tim is a champion of students that have limited opportunities, having taught in Washington state with Hispanic and Indian youth. Then working overseas in China, South Korea, and Saudi Arabia with students from over forty different nationalities, assimilating their language and cultural diversity.

Grant held the position of Chief of Staff at the Nevada Treasurer's Office. In this influential role, he oversaw the office's staff, budget, and legislative priorities. Grant played a pivotal role in enhancing the State's investment program, resulting in increased returns. He also led a successful brand update and launched the first mass-market advertising campaign promoting a culture of saving for college in Nevada. Bianca is an Advisory Member with the Suicide Prevention Resource Center (SPRC); a committee formed by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) and partnered with The National Action Alliance for Suicide Prevention.
Bianca is also a certification specialist for the Centers for the Application of Substance Abuse Technologies (CASAT) Region 9, housed at the University of Nevada, Reno. She has authored and instructed foundational courses delivered to pre and post service fields professionals in 10 U.S. provinces; and WellXcel Health Courses - a best practice model contributing to Clinical Education, Professional Standards, and Technology in the National Strategies for Suicide Prevention through 2030.
